Vital Apps LLC ("Vital Apps", "we", "us") makes health and wellness apps, including Senior Steps, and sells ebooks and merchandise through our online shop. This policy explains what information we collect through vital-apps.io, our apps, and our shop, how we use it, and the choices you have.
On this website. If you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your email address. Our hosting provider (Netlify) may also log basic technical information such as your IP address and browser type to keep the site running and secure.
In Senior Steps. Senior Steps keeps everything on your phone. It does not ask you to create an account, and it does not send your information over the internet to us or anyone else. It does not use analytics, and it does not access your location, contacts, or photos.
To count your steps, Senior Steps uses your phone's built-in step counter (pedometer) and can tell whether you are walking or stopped. On Android, it asks for the Physical Activity (Activity Recognition) permission. On iPhone, it asks for Motion & Fitness access and explains that Senior Steps uses motion data to count your daily steps. The app stores only your daily step totals, your latest step-counter reading, and the daily goal you set, and it keeps them on your device. Deleting the app deletes this information.
If you tap "Share my steps," Senior Steps opens your phone's own share menu with a short message about your steps. Nothing is sent unless you choose an app and a person to send it to, and that message is then handled by the app you pick (such as Messages or Mail).
In VitaForge Pro. VitaForge Pro is a biomarker tracker that is still in development and is not available yet. Before it launches, we will update this policy to explain exactly what it collects. If you buy a paid plan, payment is handled by the app store or payment provider you use, and we do not see or store your full card details.
In our shop. Our ebooks and merchandise are sold through our Shopify store. When you buy something, Shopify collects and processes your order details, such as your name, email address, shipping address, and payment information, under Shopify’s privacy policy. We do not see or store your full card details. Ebooks are delivered through the Shopify Digital Products app. Merchandise orders are printed and shipped by Printful, which receives the name, shipping address, and order details it needs to make and deliver your order, under Printful’s privacy policy. Our store’s own privacy policy is posted on the Shopify store.
We use your information to run our website and apps, fill and deliver your orders, answer your questions, and send the newsletter you asked for. We do not sell your personal information.
We share information only with service providers that help us run our website and apps (such as Netlify, which hosts this website and receives newsletter sign-ups; Shopify, which runs our store and processes payments; and Printful, which prints and ships merchandise orders), or when the law requires it. Senior Steps itself does not send your information anywhere.
You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any email. You can ask us to see, correct, or delete your information by contacting us at gordon@vital-apps.io.
Our apps are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Our apps and articles are for general wellness and information only. They are not medical advice. Please talk with your doctor before starting a new exercise program.
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the date above.
